Mood Care. An HSN formula to cheer you up
Mood Care from EssentialSeries is a unique HSN formula made from natural plant extracts that follow strict nutritional quality criteria, and vitamins chosen in the best forms for maximum absorption, metabolism and optimal effects.
The Mood Care plant mix has been chosen by the experts in HSN's Research and Development department, where, thanks to extensive scientific research aimed at revolutionizing the field of dietary supplements, they innovated to develop a rival-free formula called 'Mood Care'.
Mood Care has no allergens, so it’s suitable for all kinds of people, regardless of their nutritional requirements or preferences since it is also vegan-friendly and does not contain Genetically Modified Organisms.
Mood Care you want it in your day-to-day. We explain it to you
At HSN we develop products aimed at all kinds of objectives, and many of them culminate in the unique and exclusive formulas of our Care range, focused on different needs and caring for several systems. Some examples are:
Mood Care appears as part of our Care product lines, in this case, focused on improving mood and supporting emotional balance thanks to the compounds it contains in its composition.
The plant extracts used aren’t ordinary extracts. Pay attention
It's extremely important to understand why the herbal extracts Mood Care contains aren’t just any extracts like you can find in other market products.
Our experts have explained in detail every aspect to consider to set the quality of a plant extract. All of them are controlled and optimized by HSN:
Concentration is the numbers shown separated by colons, and it means the extract concentration relative to the native raw material it comes from, i.e.:
An extract 3:1 of Saffron indicates that each milligram of extract equals 3 mg of the plant’s natural stigma.
That is really what defines an extract, its concentration or extraction, which basically indicates how potent it is; a more concentrated extract equals consuming more of the plant than you would normally use in a standard powder.
Plant species matter because differences in species mean differences in the natural properties they possess.
Don’t trust products that don’t indicate the exact scientific species used in their supplements. At HSN you’ll find the exact, certified species specified for the plant used.
Just like the species is important, the part of the plant used is also important, because not all parts of the same plant have the same concentration of active compounds that matter nutritionally.
For example, our lavender essential oil extract is derived from the leaf of lavender, which is the part with the highest concentration of terpenoids that make lavender an interesting plant for use as a dietary supplement.
Standardization is the guaranteed content of these compounds of interest mentioned above. This is key.
The majority of plant extracts sold as dietary supplements are of low quality, and that’s why they don’t standardize their content in internal compounds. If the extract isn’t good and the content isn’t standardized, the plant could have no effects and you could be paying for nothing.
At HSN we standardize most of our herbal extracts, except those that must be Full-Spectrum for nutritional reasons, and this sets us apart.
You’ll find the guaranteed content of Rosavins and Salidrosides in the Rhodiola extract; of 5-HTP in Griffonia, of Linalyl acetate and Linalool in lavender oil; of polysaccharides in the lion’s mane extract, and of the exclusive crocins and safranal (Lepticrosalides®) in Affron® raw material.
With the best raw materials: Affron® is the world reference for saffron extracts
At HSN we’ve seen many registered brands of herbal extract manufacturers, but... Not all of them offer clear benefits compared to a high-quality raw material without a brand.
At HSN we don’t need to offer seals that don’t have real benefits to highlight our products, since all of them are developed with care and the utmost thoroughness in reviewing the quality of their ingredients; but we do value quality patents.
A clear example of this is Affron®.

Affron®, from Pharmactive, is a registered saffron stigma extract brand developed through a patented cold extraction process without using aggressive solvents with the plant. This is key to establish the quality of the extract used, as it conditions its content in chemical constituents.
Because of this, Pharmactive has obtained a patented mix of the two compounds naturally present in the saffron stigma, which are more valued. These are: crocins and safranal.
You’ll find it as Lepticrosalides®. A Component of Affron®, internationally recognized for quality and innovation.
A carefully chosen set of vitamins to obtain the best nutritional properties
Not all vitamins are the same, and even though people often think that 'a vitamin B12 is a vitamin B12' the truth is that this statement is more wrong than right.
Vitamins come in varied forms that allow different kinetics; a clear example is precisely B12.
Why do we use methylcobalamin and not cyanocobalamin in our Mood Care?
Cobalamin, or vitamin B12, can be found in different forms, with the most common being cyanocobalamin and methylcobalamin.
Methylcobalamin is the most effective form to add to dietary supplements because while cyanocobalamin needs to undergo conversion processes in the body to become an active or usable form, methylcobalamin is already active from ingestion, hence 100% bioavailable and effective.
Likewise, the folic acid provided by Mood Care is the most studied form of vitamin B9 for central, emotional and cognitive processes: calcium methylfolate.
This form has been established as the global reference regarding the best form of folic acid, thanks to recent studies that concluded its absorption, metabolism, and overall bioavailability are the best.
Trust in HSN: We select the best available forms of the compounds used to develop our dietary supplements.

A formula for mood improvement
Mood Care is a product focused on a clear objective: support for emotional balance.
But it isn’t limited to that; it’s undeniable that the most clear and direct effect of its composition is that compounds like the B12 vitamin it contains contribute to normal psychological function.
However, its herbal extracts have a wide variety of specific functions, including:
- Contributes to optimal relaxation and is used to reduce restlessness, effects associated with lavender.
- Helps maintain a positive mood, thanks to its saffron contribution.

Do I need Mood Care? Who is it recommended for?
Mood Care is a very suitable dietary supplement for a large portion of the adult population.

- People looking for a supplement that supports mood.
- People experiencing apathy during high-workload periods.

From HSN we recommend using the daily dose established in the product. In this case, taking two plant capsules per day, and do not exceed this dose unless a doctor has recommended a higher use.
Taking less, such as 1 plant capsule per day, means consuming fewer compounds than recommended, and Mood Care’s effects may be reduced or at least less effective.
We recommend using the product at a rate of 2 doses per day, one plant capsule per dose.
Does it have any contraindications?
Mood Care has no contraindications in healthy people; if you have a condition that requires medical attention, and/or you are receiving pharmacological treatment, consult your doctor.

Of course! Mood Care is compatible with any other dietary supplement. It’s ideal to use it in combination with Evoptogen during periods of high physical and/or psychological load; and Stress Care for stages of high stress management needs.
Can I take it if I’m on medications for emotional improvement?
Not suitable for use with medications without first getting their appropriate use evaluated by the doctor who prescribed them.
