Evoenergy Cake (with guaraná): solid energy for workouts
Evoenergy Cake from SportSeries is an energizing ginger cake with honey, guaraná, and taurine.
Considered a functional energy bar, we crafted the recipe for athletes looking for a practical carb option to take before and especially during training. Unlike more common formats like gels or gummies, Evoenergy Cake has a cake-like texture, easy to chew and eat on the go, making it an ideal choice for long sessions where you want to mix up textures without giving up a carb boost in every serving.
A solid, functional, and convenient bar designed to stick with you when training doesn’t give you a break.
A formula designed for training
The Evoenergy Cake recipe is based on a blend of carbohydrates, formulated in a Glucose:Fructose ratio of 2:1, widely used in sports nutrition for its practical integration during long workouts.
This carb base is complemented with functional ingredients selected for sports contexts:
- Sources of glucose and fructose in a 2:1 ratio, coming from ingredients like rye flour and honey, as the main carb sources.
- Guaraná extract, standardized to 10% caffeine.
- Taurine, included as a functional ingredient in the bar.
- Natural spices, giving it the distinctive ginger flavor.
Each 40 g bar provides 80 mg of natural caffeine and 400 mg of taurine, coming exclusively from guaraná, within a solid matrix that’s easy to consume even during exercise.
What’s Evoenergy Cake for?
Evoenergy Cake is designed for endurance sports and demanding workouts.
- Caffeine helps increase endurance capacity. Caffeine should be consumed at doses of 3 mg/kg of body weight one hour before exercise. The target group is adults doing endurance exercise.
- Carbohydrates help recover normal muscle function (contraction) after high-intensity and/or long-duration physical exercise that leads to muscle fatigue and depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle. This effect is achieved by consuming carbs from all sources at a total intake of 4 g per kg of body weight, in doses, during the first 4 hours and no later than 6 hours after intense and/or long-duration physical exercise.
When and how to use Evoenergy Cake?
Thanks to its solid format and composition based on carbs and natural caffeine, Evoenergy Cake fits especially well in specific sports situations:
- Pre-workout: perfect before morning sessions or tough workouts.
- During workout: especially useful in endurance training and competitions like cycling, running, or triathlon, where carb intake during effort is common.
- Avoid at night due to its caffeine content.
Its cake-like texture makes it easy to eat during exercise and clearly sets it apart from other energy gels or gummies.
Evoenergy Cake vs. other energy bars
Within our catalog, Evoenergy Cake stands out from similar options like Evogummy:
- Evoenergy Cake: cake-like texture, carbs in a 2:1 ratio, caffeine and taurine, designed for pre- and during-workout.
- Evogummy: gummy/gelatin texture, aimed at during-workout use, with a light and smooth feel.
Two different bars for different training needs.
Format and experience
Evoenergy Cake comes in a pack of 6 bars of 40 g, easy to carry and store in backpacks, hydration belts, or jersey pockets.
The ginger flavor offers a different experience, less cloying but sweet thanks to the honey, designed to make it easier to eat even during prolonged effort when appetite might drop.
